Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesVirginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) brings together two award winning health systems in Washington State, CHI Franciscan and Virginia Mason Medical Center, as one integrated health system with the most patient access points in western Washington. VMFH is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare. We have an opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Advanced Practice Provider at St. Michael Medical Center located in Silverdale, Washington.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at VMFH encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our exceptional quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1100 open heart surgeries, 2400 PCIs and 2000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1500 beds and 8 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
- Position Details: The EP APP works closely with our three electrophysiologists and EP APP team in a hybrid clinic and inpatient role. Responsibilities include seeing patients independently in the clinic and supporting inpatient rounding in the hospital. The APP also supports the procedural workflow of the EP team, though there is no direct procedural involvement.
- Schedule: Providers typically work a four day work week.
- Call; APP's participate in weekend call on a rotating basis. Approximately every 6th weekend. Weekend days worked are offset against the total work week. For example, an APP who works a weekend would have two days off the following week, or one fewer day the week prior and one fewer day the week after. No overnight call.

- Compensation: A competitive compensation model that incentivizes clinical productivity, teamwork, and the highest quality care. This position has an attractive benefits package including medical malpractice coverage. $139,000.00 - $173,000.00/year.
Job RequirementsNurse Practitioner:
- 2+ years advanced practice work experience in EP or cardiology preferred.
- Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License are required for this job.
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority.
- Certification by specialty area as well as work experience in specialty area may be required, depending on the position.
- ACLS preferred
- BLS required
OR
Physician Assistant-C:
- 2+ years advanced practice work experience in EP or cardiology preferred.
- This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
- ACLS preferred
- BLS required
